For years enthusiasts begged Mitsubishi to bring the Lancer Evolution stateside. We got a bit of a tease of the turbo AWD fun Mitsubishi had to offer with the incredibly limited Mitsubishi Gallant VR4 (which the EVO 1 was based off of) but then it took Mitsubishi 10 years to give those in the States the EVO VIII. The introduction of the EVO VIII was an immediate hit and became incredibly popular with tuners. With its stout 4G63 engine it was setup to be incredibly capable. With the popularity of the Mitsubishi EVO VIII there are endless aftermarket part options from mild to wild. So whether you're keeping your EVO relatively stock or pushing it to the limits you're going to want a capable engine management system to handle all of the tuning. Enter the AEM Infinty Series 5 EMS. When you pair an AEM Infinity 506 (30-7106) or AEM Infinity 508 (30-7108) EMS to the AEM Infinity Series 5 Plug and Play Adapter harness for the Mitsubishi EVO VIII (30-3511) you'll have a plug and play solution for a motorsports level engine management system utilizing the stock ECU plug. This adapter harness is designed to work on MY 2003-2005 Mitsubishi EVO VIII.
Here at Brewed Motors we utilize the infinity ems on our shop 4g63 powered VR4 galant and couldn't be happier with the results. The Infinity with plug n play harness has also quickly become our most popular EVO 9 engine management system. Kits are now shipping with a custom calibration/tune made just for your build to ensure easy start up and a smooth tuning process. If you are adding any extra sensors (flex fuel, oil pressure/temp, fuel pressure, wide band o2, etc) just let us know and one of our tuners will add the new sensor calibrations AND set up the fail safe features such as lean protection, fuel pressure, knock control and oil pressure on your calibration. AEM’s sealed, weatherproof Plug & Play harness includes an AEMnet connector for communication with other AEMnet enabled devices and an auxiliary connector with a High Performance DTM-Style 12P connector for adding common aftermarket sensors. It includes a Wideband O2 connector for use with a Bosch 4.2 LSU UEGO air/fuel ratio sensor (30-2001) and for an easy install we recommended that you purchase a Wideband Extension Cable (30-3600).
