In Part 1 of this series we installed the Borg Warner EFR 6258 turbo into the Brewed S13 and shared all the sexy secrets surrounding the new Borg Warner EFR series turbo charger. Now it’s simply time for some fun… take a moment to enjoy some sliding.

The modern turbocharger has come a long way in the last 10 years, with new lighter and stronger materials becoming available the performance and efficiency of turbochargers has vastly increased. Materials such as Titanium used in turbine wheels and forged Billet CC’d Aluminum used in the compressor wheels are now becoming the standard. 

The EFR turbo charger series utilizes titanium-aluminide turbine wheels. These state of the art turbine wheels are half the weight of the typical inconel turbine wheel found in 99% of all other turbo chargers. The reduction in weight or rotating mass vastly improves low-end response and spool time...

Mitsubishi has been a heavy hitter in the WRC for over 2 decades, with the 4g63 engine stretching almost the entire 20 year period it has proven to be one of the best performing and reliable engines of the series.  The 4g63 also has a huge fallowing with the public enthusiast, whether it be found in an Eclipse, Talon, Galant, or any of the Evolution model lancers (besides the EVO X of course) the 4g63 has been making and braking records sense it first appeared on the market in the late 80s.
 
Here at Brewed we were lucky enough to find our 4g63 making its home in a Galant VR4 chassis # 891/2000. With the Galant being AWD, 4 doors...

The Korean Auto Show may not have been comparable in size to the SEMA or PRI shows in the states, however the Korean manufactures as well as imports from Japan, United States and Germany did not hold back. With great booths, displays and models (both cars and Korean women) the 2011 Korean Auto Show is the perfect place to get a feel for the OE Automotive market in South Korea.

With an all but complete lack of any aftermarket manufacturing companies present at the show a motorsports enthusiast may feel some disappointment upon arrival. This feeling is however short lived as many manufactures not only brought out new prototypes but also...
