BC street spec camshafts are designed for easy plug and play application. The BC0201 boasts short duration for nice street manners and slight lope at idle for excellent all-purpose use.

• OEM spring OK – However BC highly recommend its BC0200 spring/retainer kit to counter possible coil bind issues with OEM spring.

The BC0201 fits the SR20DE and SR20DET engines which debuted in the Nissan S13 Silvia. An upgraded version of the engine with a larger turbo charger and variable timing camshaft (VTC) was used in the S14, released in Japan in 1993, as a result these later models require the use of the BC0205 or BC0206 camshafts.

While VTC is preferred by some, the system can be prone to rattling. One common fix for this is to buy the conversion kit to remove the VTC from the S14 and S15 SR20DET engines. Engines that have undergone this modification can then use the BC0201, or any other, camshafts for the S13.
